Midwest Party Express Rules

The bus company’s rules for everyone on board. By riding, you agree to follow them.

Before you board

Midwest Party Express aims to provide a clean, fun, and safe party experience. Drivers arrive about 5 minutes before pickup to load the bus, and arrive at the final drop-off 5–10 minutes before the scheduled end time for clean-up and unloading. Extra time at the end of the route can be added only by paying the driver directly before it starts, if the driver and bus are available.

The rules

  1. Air conditioning isn’t guaranteed. No discounts or refunds if AC isn’t working.
  2. Midwest Party Express may cancel if the heat index is over 100°F, wind chill is below 0°F, or there are advisories or warnings that prevent safe travel. Weather cancellations get a voucher for the amount paid, good for one year. No exceptions.
  3. Only the day-of-event contact or billing contact can set or change route stops.
  4. No alcohol for anyone under 21.
  5. Only one person can be connected to the radio for the day.
  6. No standing or walking on the seats, and no sitting on the seat backs (cupholders).
  7. No swinging or hanging on poles or handles. Any damage from this is charged for replacement parts and labor.
  8. If you puke or release any other bodily fluids, you’ll get the chance to clean it up. If it isn’t cleaned properly or the driver has to clean it, it’s a $250 fee per occurrence.
  9. Trash, vandalism, bodily fluids, graffiti, or damage to the outside of the bus may result in cleaning or repair fees.
  10. No smoking or vaping on the bus. $250 fee per occurrence.
  11. The rental can be extended during the trip if the bus and driver are available, at $150/hour plus tax and gratuity, paid before the extra time starts.
  12. Photos or video captured by Midwest Party Express vehicles may be used for marketing.
  13. Jello shots, glass bottles, and Styrofoam coolers are allowed but discouraged. They can lead to cleaning fees.
  14. At the end of the trip, all garbage must go in the provided trash cans or a cleaning fee may apply.
  15. Midwest Party Express and its employees aren’t responsible for lost or forgotten items.
  16. No part of your body may extend outside the vehicle through windows, doors, roof hatches, or emergency exits.
  17. Emergency exits, doors, windows, roof hatches, safety latches, and alarms are for emergencies only. Tampering with or misusing them is strictly prohibited.
  18. Riders are responsible for damage during the trip and will be invoiced for parts and labor (plus a 20% service fee if an outside contractor does the repair). Estimated repair costs: windows $550–$1,200; blown speakers $250–$700; seat tears, rips, or burns $750–$1,800; missing cupholders $25–$50.
  19. Breaking these rules can lead the driver to cancel the route. Riders would need to find their own way home or be dropped at the nearest location. No refunds.
